So at an outdoor reception seating can be tricky. We didn't want rows of chairs anywhere, yet we wanted everyone to have a comfy chair to rest in. We had seating for 45 around small round tables, but for everyone else who wasn't eating we created 3 small seating areas.
Sallie's Uncle Jack and Aunt Mary Anne have these AWESOME tents they let us use. We had 4 of them positioned all around. Under 2 of them we had patio sets to welcome tired guests.
Some little tikes got bored during clean up and watched a movie instead!
On the back side of the massive tree that served as our anchor were HUGE and I mean HUGE roots that stuck up from the ground almost 6". We really didn't want anyone getting hurt. So we positioned a bench there and surrounded it with greenery. Thus forcing people to walk around the big roots and not take any unexpected tumbles. I called it the secret garden. It had a small fountain running next to the bench and just felt secluded from the rest of the party. Kind of fun!
Jordan and Judith thought it was a fun little spot to hide away in.
